I, Saish Vinod Gondkar a 15-year-old student from Shirdi (SaiBaba) started a mission i.e., “Need for Needy” from September 2020 since there was Corona Pandemic Lock Down period. In the Pandemic Lock Down period, I noticed that many people lost their jobs and due to this their children and family members were not able to buy the medicines, clothes and school supplies.
So, initially I distributed my own
Clothes and school supplies to Poor and Needy Children. I noticed the Happiness
and Joy on their faces which showed me the new way of life. Next Day I went to
nearby houses and collected clothes and School Supplies and again went to the
slum areas for distributing the stuffs. Again I noticed the happiness on those
needy faces. Then I just printed a paper with slogan “Need for Needy” and
started collecting Medicines, Clothes and School Stationeries from Urban Areas
and distributed it to Needy People. The leftover medicines which I collected from
the Urban Areas houses, handed it over to the Government Rural Hospitals
Doctors and requested them to give it to Needy patients freely.
Initially I used to go on Bicycle to several
houses in Shirdi then I learned to drive scooter, so then I started going on
Scooter to collect the old clothes, left over Medicines and School Stationary
from city houses. As my social activity spreaded all over city now many people
are calling me to collect their Clothes, Leftover Medicines and School Supplies
at their home. Some are directly approaching to our home to deliver the
supplies.
I visited Orphanages and distributed note
books, Pens and Clothes and also visit to Old Age Homes and Organized Preaching’s
and celebrated Holi with senior citizens residing in old age home to raise
their spirit in Life. Till 18th May 2021 I have approached to more than 3500 Needy people with Clothes and
School Supplies and Also Delivered Lot of Leftover Medicines and New Medicines
to Government Rural Hospitals at Astagaon, Savalivihir, Rahata, Puntamba, Wakdi, Dorhale, Dadh Bk. and Loni Covid Care Center etc.

“ Every Student around the Globe should devote at least 2 hours a week in
Social Work for the betterment of Society, helping Poor and Needy People,
Helping elderly person, a disabled, a Patient or a Farmer every Sunday.
Today also I am
continuing Social Service for the betterment of Society and Wants to continue
this activity throughout my life with tag line, “Need for Needy” and finally it is service to GOD.

Brief Content : The Senior citizen of Dwarkamai Old Age
Home were dually gifted in the form of Vaccination by Health Department and
Happiness by Need for Needy mission on the festival of colours.
Saish Gondkar collects basic
essentials from the urban areas and distributes them to the poor and needy of
rural areas. Saish’s mother Mrs.Reshma Gondkar gave Saish 150 note books and
pens on her birthday. He distributed writing material and also arranged a
lecture of a Preacher for senior citizen in old age home.

Brief Content : Saish Vinod Gondkar filledup the day with
the powered colours amongst the senior citizens residing in the old age home.
During the harsh situation due to
Corona Pandemic this youth collected basic essentials and distributed them to
the needy. He decided to celebrate Holi with the old people in old age home by
distributing the writing material so that the senior citizens can continue
writing skill by expressing their thoughts/feelings etc. In addition to this he
also arranged a entertaining lecture by a Preacher.

Saish Gondkar’s
Medical Help in Corona Pandemic
Brief Content : A Canadian NRI realized the worst
situation during the pandemic in Rahata Taluka. It was the news of Need For
Needy movement by a 15 year old School Student that reached till NRI, who then
wished to contribute medicines for the movement. Due to lack of sufficient
stock of medicines to treat the ever increasing number of corona patients, the
Doctors were helpless towards the patients. But the sudden unexpected help by
Saish Gondkar proved beneficial to save patient’s need.
The Rural Hospital Medical Staff
